           Summary: Log4j file getting overwritten
           Product: Log4j
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Solaris
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: Other
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

We have an application deployed in a cluster environment. The application uses
log4j and writes the log statements to a single file. The single file is
residing in a NAS (common shared) drive and all the managed servers point to
the same file while logging information from application.

When my application logs information from two different managed servers, one is
getting overwritten by the other. Please find below the log4j configuration we
are using. Our application is running in Weblogic Integration 9.2 server.

<appender name="TestApp" class="org.apache.log4j.RollingFileAppender">
     <param name="MaxFileSize" value="10MB"/>
     <param name="File" value="/work/nfs/shareddrive/logs/TestApp.log"/>
         <param name="Append" value="true" />
     <layout class="org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout">
        <param name="ConversionPattern" value="%d{MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm:ss:SSS} %-8p
%c - [%x]   %m%n"/>
     </layout>
  </appender>

  <!-- loggers -->
  <category name="TestApp">
        <priority value="debug"/>
        <appender-ref ref="TestApp"/>
  </category>

Is there a fix for this? Please let me know if you have resolved this already.
