This bug affects log4j 1.2, but there is likely no way to "fix" it without
potentially breaking users who depend on the existing behavior. Marking it as
WONTFIX is probably appropriate.
The JMX code was added without any discussion and there is no community around
it. However, since it has been in releases it can't be changed in ways that
might break any hypothetical users. With reported issues, if anything occurs
with JMX it will likely be something brand new with a different package name.
