I can recreate the error with:
log4j-all-1.3alpha-8.jar.
When I change to the following:
log4j-1.2.14.jar
apache-log4j-receivers-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
apache-log4j-extras-1.0.jar
apache-log4j-component-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
I get:
The content of element type "appender" must match
"(errorHandler?,param*,layout?,filter*,appender-ref*)".
same xml file.
