ZeroConf support for most of the network-based appenders is now included
with the appenders themselves as of log4j 1.2.16.

ZeroConfSocketHubAppender is still there if you need it, but you can now use
a SocketHubAppender, set the 'advertiseViaMulticastDNS' param to 'true' and
add jmdns to your classpath.

SocketAppender, SocketHubAppender, MulticastAppender and UDPAppender (as
well as the matching receivers) are all capable of broadcasting their
configuration via ZeroConf by enabling the 'advertiseViaMulticastDNS' param.

ZeroConf support has been improved in Chainsaw as well (in svn trunk, not
yet released) - Chainsaw can create a receiver configuration automatically
for any discovered ZeroConf appender.
