The normal method of contribution is to open a bug report and attach the 
contribution to it.  If the bug tracking system has a box to check saying you 
are contributing the software to the ASF make sure you check it. If you plan on 
doing more contributions you should submit an ICLA.  Make sure you've read 
http://www.apache.org/foundation/how-it-works.html. The ICLA can be found at 
http://www.apache.org/licenses/#clas.
