This looks like an oversight: both FileAppender and RollingFileAppender support
the bufferedIO=true/false option, but where FileAppender has a configurable
buffer size, RollingFileAppender does not.
A similar issue with RollingRandomAccessFileAppender was addressed in
LOG4J2-566.
