In {{getInputFromUri}}, instead of catching and silently discarding the
IOException, can you wrap it in a IllegalStateException (or even just an Error)
and rethrow it?
If that bit fails, nothing will work (fall back to the default Error/Console
config) so we need to know if this succeeded or not.
