The problem is from my point of view NOT finding the files to roll (I
implemented it already) - at it doesn't cost much because it runs only at
rollover and reads only directory information.
The problem is how to keep the appender configuration clear and simple.
Your proposal would add another configuration option "file list" to the
appender configuration which must contain a path to the rolledFileLog in a
static directory (without %i or %d).
I tried to code the features without this extra configuration of "static base
directory" but failed.
