Pollentier updated LOG4J2-1148:
-------------------------------
Description:
The documentation states the PluginManager looks at packages specified by
system property "{{log4j.plugin.packages}}" (e.g. see
https://logging.apache.org/log4j/2.x/manual/plugins.html)
This issue [LOG4J2-745] mentions the introduction of the system property, and
in its related commits on 2014-09-14, the above documentation was added to the
sources. However, the source code (PluginManager.java, nor any other source)
does NOT seem to take the property into account. (I can't find it anywhere in
the code, and the corresponding patch code attached to that issue doesn't seem
to be merged in?).
