Thanks for the comment. I upgraded to v. 2.4.1. There is some improvement, but
still some strangeness going on.
The RollingFile appender now does a daily roll, and zips the previous file to a
directory named correctly according to the date mask. However the zipped files
within the directory are post dated 2 days in advance. For example, today (Oct.
29, 2015) I ran a test. The prior log was placed in a directory named
"2015-10", and zipped with a name of "filename-10-31-2015-1.log.zip". The same
thing happened yesterday, as a zip file was created with a name of
"filename-10-30-2015-1.log.zip".
