I can't tell where we are with this issue any more.
Did you add a ScriptCondition for the delete element?
This all reminds me of Jelly and why it was a dismal failure with Maven 1.
Trying to make XML be a programming language is a very bad idea. If you need
something this complicated then code a new condition plugin or use a script. As
it stands I am almost ready to -1 the whole thing as I am finding this
discussion very confusing. I am not even sure what is implemented now.
