I can confirm this is still happening. I ran into this when writing unit tests
for LOG4J2-435. Interestingly the problem wouldn't occur when running the test
individually, but only when running all tests as part of the build. This test
would also fail similarly when the build was run on Jenkins (Ubuntu).
