Is there any reason you want to stop only AsyncLogger and not the Log4j logging
subsystem altogether?
In the current version you can do: {{((Lifecycle)
LogManager.getContext()).stop();}}
The next release will include LOG4J2-124, so you can say
{{LogManager.shutdown();}}
