Hmm, this ticket is about adding a rolling version of the memory mapped file
appender.
We could create another ticket to change the memory mapped file appender to use
the new {{Layout.encode}} method (since this appender is already ByteBuffer
based), and make that new ticket part of the GC-free epic, that makes sense.
