Perhaps what Gary had in mind is to introduce a reused
{{MutableStackTraceElement}}. This allows you to bundle values that form a
logical entity together in a single Object with all the associated benefits.
Immutability is a separate technique that can make code easier to understand
but this is orthogonal to OO.
