Subject: Socket held open after ctrl-C on SimpleSocketServer

Small problem, but we are finding the listening socket is held onto by a
process after ctrl-C to a .sh running under AIX, or to a stop service when
running as a system service under NT. A remaining process can be killed by
kill under AIX.

Is there a clean way to stop the socketserver without needing to resort to a
kill ?
