I meant to reply to this earlier. The current set of "new" filters can be viewed by checking out the current source from cvs. They can be found in the org.apache.log4j.filters package. I can't remember off hand which ones are checked in, but there are a couple more that need to be completed and checked in.
If ANYONE has comments about the filters that are there or that should be there, please post to this email group. We want to make this set as useful as possible for v1.3. I'm with Eric; I like the fact that log4j makes it possible to add/extend functionality, but having a useful basic set off-the-shelf is even better.
