Has anyone gone through extending the patternlayout according to http://www.ingrid.org/jajakarta/log4j/jakarta-log4j-1.1.3/docs/deepExtension .html ?
If so, what tradeoffs are there between adding new sources for layouts as opposed to pushing them on a NDC stack? Has anyone actually followed through with P. Gleazen's process and found it worthwhile?
