Howdy,

>How to use log4j for database logging?

What are you trying to log?

If you're trying to keep a log IN the database, see JDBCAppender. If
you're trying to keep a log of DB activities, there are many ways to do
that.

>Is there any comparision document between log4j and weblogic
non-catalog =
>logger?

No, no comparison. One's open source, free, performs well, and has an
active developer and user community. I'm not sure the weblogic logger
has any of the above, including the active developer community as I have
friends who work for BEA who are pushing to use log4j in their products.

>How can we suggest to the customers that Log4J is better than any other
=
>logger?

By using it, and if you're unsure using other logging frameworks, you
will see for yourself why it's better. Then you can suggest it to your
customers.

>Any comments/feedback/pointers to info source will be REALLY REALLY =

Did you read the JDK 1.4 vs. log4j paper on the log4j site?
