Hi Matt! Two things: first off, the SNMPTrapAppender is not an "official" part of Log4J. It's an add-on that I maintain.
Second, this sounds like a great idea, and I'd be happy to incorporate your code into the "semi-official" appender that is available on my Web site. Unfortunately, however, your attachments seem to have gotten stripped off your mail as it made its way onto the mailing list. Could you try sending them again, perhaps in an out-of-band mail directly to my address?
