Yes... I know. But that is why I and others write a warper with the 7 or 8 common signatures. It makes the code more readable.
It's a feature wish. Else I extend log4j classes and write it by myself, and so do others.
7 methods is not a lot.
(Later I will try to read "errors" via JMX console w/ the new version, when I get some time.)
