I have multiple applications running on multiple boxes(solaris/linux) across
our network. There will be multiple instances of chainsaw running on multiple
client pcs - the chainsaw clients can come up at any time and be shutdown
anytime.

so i want is:

1. each chainsaw user have the ability to see all the logs without missing any
events.

i figure the best way to this is to log to a single network file accessible by
all clients. i also thought that all the source applications should write to a
common socketappender, which in turn writes out to a network file? can someone
explain how this would be done? am i off base? i like to an example of the
necessary configuration on the source applications as well the configurations
on the client chainsaw clients

thanks

rakesh
