Chainsaw was moved out of the logging-log4j CVS repository to its own repository: logging-chainsaw
After the move, the install-chainsaw scripted was updated in CVS but the log4j site wasn't updated to reflect the change (I really need to figure out how to update the site). Here's the CVS link to the correct version of install-chainsaw.xml: http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/logging-log4j/src/xdocs/install-chainsaw.xml?rev=1.5 The steps for building chainsaw are now more complicated, but they're all described when you run the ant script. Hi, following the instructions on http://logging.apache.org/log4j/docs/chainsaw.html I downloaded install-chainsaw.xml, which seems to do its job. However, the downloaded build.xml neither contains a "chainsaw" target nor does the "chainsaw" directory contain any relevant files. Thanks, Jochen -- Often it does seem a pity that Noah and his party did not miss the boat.
