A couple of people have mentioned integrating LogPanel into their own
apps, but if they did the work, they didn't contribute the refactorings
back to the project to facilitate other people doing the same thing.

LogPanel's dependencies don't seem too bad (no direct dependencies on
LogUI, which is good), but you'll have some work to do to make it work.

I really like the colorizing and the filtering, so I'd rather use the
original LogPanel than some "home-brewed" solution.
You mean i would have to modify the Chainsaw sources myself? I can't
believe anyone ever needed similar functionality...
