This in fact is a test I did this morning restricting the root logger to
WARN.
But then again, even if I do a "log.warn()" somewhere it doesn't show up in
any of the appenders with this configuration.

By now, I've restored the root logger level to DEBUG. The result is the same
...

But you're right somehow, I should have been more precise by letting you
know that not only "log.debug()" doesn't work but also "log.warn" ... I
might give a try at using them all to see what happens.
