[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOG4NET-7?page=comments#action_59904 ] Nicko Cadell commented on LOG4NET-7: ------------------------------------
This could be done by raising an event, that the calling application can hook, if any events are logged without an attached appender. There would also probably need to be a property on the Logger to check the value directly. If this is related to an error in configuration that this may be resolved by adding configuration error reporting (LOG4NET-2). > Detecting NoAppenderWarning > --------------------------- > > Key: LOG4NET-7 > URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOG4NET-7 > Project: Log4net > Type: Improvement > Components: Core > Environment: From sourceforge - 785036 > Reporter: Nicko Cadell > > It would be nice to be able to detect an event related > to NoAppenderWarning. That is, one might want to take > arbitrary actions when a logger category has no > appenders attached to it, which is often caused by > some kind of problem, usually related to configuration. > Thanks for considering this suggestion. > Anonymous -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - If you want more information on JIRA, or have a bug to report see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
