It seems that %processid is the only PatternString that works in the
name of a File appender. I've tried to use %date{} in various ways, but
that seems to prevent a log file from being created at all. Is this by
design? I'm trying to create a separate log file for each invocation of
my application, with the date that the application was started in the
file name. Is there a different way to do this?Wayne M.
