last week, me too struck up with the same problem and
finally i got the solution.
You have to initiate the configuration file in a
different way. You dont do that in assemblyinfo.cs.
Instead do the following in component constructor.
FileInfo fi = new FileInfo(<config file path> );
DComConfigurator.Configure(fi);
This will configure your file and then everything will
work normal.
