Hi Rebecca,

I don't know what is going on, but if I recall correctly, your name is Rebecca, not "ruchika baruah" which is the author of the stated emails.

I'm not the mailing list Admin, but if I was, I would be denying your request on that ground.

You either must be the author, or mandated by the author or, to an extend to be ascertain, mandated by the company where the author worked before.

Failure to prove any kind of connection between the author of the emails to the mailing list and the originator of the delete will mean that the request will probably be ignored.

Also, you must realizing that those same mails will persist on the email clients of tons of users. Probably forever.

The actions you have taken, will only provoke more views of those emails. Also, I've seen it and I'm yet to understand what is "so" hush-hush about them! But, as they are hush-hush, I doubt that anyone will enlighten me!

People have the liberty to post, and when they post, they publish to the public. Denying that liberty may even be forbidden in your country...

Also, in some countries, that request must be done by the judicial means. Meaning... stating a request to delete some messages will not produce anything unless is signed by a judge in a court of law.

And if the Admin fulfils the request without this kind of safeguards, he may become liable of breach of the author liberties in publishing those mails.

So, you see... a simple "delete" request isn't that simple at ALL.

Cheers,

And have a nice internet day...
;)

p.s.- IANAL, IANTMLA, and don't answer to my mail, because I won't be able to answer [if the matter is really important as it seams, get a lawyer it's the only advice I can give]
