Hello, I'm accustomed to the 'configure' utility which provides surprisingly clear help on how to set the "base" directory into which a product is to be installed. There's usually one value to supply as a parameter to 'configure' which results in your installation going into /somedir/of/mine rather than /usr/lib/somedir_I_should_not_mess_with.
How does one install all of Log4perl into a given non-system directory?
