Lets hold off on this whilst we debate with Ceki.

At the end, it is up to you to decide. As mentioned in LOGPHP-1, I
will not be standing on your way regardless of your decision. Just
keep in mind that removing author tags has drawbacks. It would be more
respectful of past contributors to leave the author tags as is. Place
yourself for a second in the shoes of past authors...
