Perhaps you mean to post it to log4j-dev?

The time interval between log4j 1.3 and 2.0 is more substantial.  log4j 1.3 was 
going along for years until we faced the inevitable that it could not become 
compatible with log4j 1.2 without losing what made it distinctive.  We back 
ported the new features that we could before putting the mildly improved, but 
incompatible framework to rest.
