I also need this feature for a couple of reasons.
1. In production we would like to have a central file. This needs to be outside
the deployment. Ideally a URL could be specified.
2. In unit testing we might want various logging configurations within one
maven project. The simplest way to do that is to set a system property in the
unit test.
