There are several ways to read this issue. One, is to add an HttpServletFilter
for invoking MDC.put("applicationName","whatever") which seems noisy. Anothtr
way to look at this, is to to set the name of the logger context from a
configuration file. For example,
<configuration contextName="whatever">...</configration>
