Logback still lacks AsynAppender like the one in Log4j. This feature is
*critical* for production use in heavy loaded applications. This is the
show stopper for us to migrate from Log4j to Logback.
Some time ago there was similar issue LBCLASSIC-20, but it was closed after
implementing async compression. So this one is just about asynchronous appender
decorator.
