Given the many bug fixes on the master branch, we should cut a new release. However, it should not be named 2.0 but 1.0.14 or 1.1.0. Given the JDK 1.6 requirement, 1.1.0 is probably more becoming.
A one or two sentence description of the changes/bug fixes needs to be added in logback-site/src/site/pages/news.html to cut a release.
