Class loader and runtime environment: sorry, I'm a bit clueless about specifics on this and all I can do is describe the setup: Java 1.8... and the time when this happened was when running a "fat jar" (i.e. containing all the dependencies including the logback jars) having gone $ java -jar myFatjar.jar in a Cygwin ("BASH") console window running in Windows 10. Who created the thread? This is a pretty simple console app, currently, and although there is a tiny amount of JavaFX involved (to create a file chooser dialog), everything else is run in a single thread. And in fact the full stack trace showed a trace all the way back to the "main" method of the starter class. |
