The problem for me (and the cause why I never got really engaged with logcheck) is that I do not currently have the time to get acquainted with git. I will take over logcheck just before you will orphan it, but my first action would be the conversion (back?) to svn. Hopefully, somebody else will step up as I am pretty busy as well, and one package that needs to adapt to a lot of third-party package changes is enough for me. aide has basically the same problem.
