Timing: That would be fine if you can send us your entry between April to July 2014 but we can wait if you need more time. Note however that we would like to publish the Encyclopaedia of Logic as a book for Spring 2015 to be launched at the 5th UNILOG in Istanbul and your entry must go to a refereeing/edition process. Carefully read the complete Guidelines for Authors: http://www.iep.utm.edu/submit/authors/ Note in particular the following points 1) The purpose of your article is to present information accepted by colleagues working in the area. An encyclopedia article is not the place to defend an original thesis. Your article will explain the topic in language the reader can understand, and it will present the important distinctions, the main results, and the main points of view on controversial issues. Articles on the IEP are 6,000 – 10,000 words. 2) The Encyclopedia’s articles should be written with the intention that most of the article can be understood by advanced undergraduates majoring in philosophy and by other scholars who are not working in the field covered by that article. For topics that are unavoidably technical, such as an article on Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity or on Ramsey sentences in logic, the goal should be to make the early parts easy going so that the technically unsophisticated reader will still profit from reading much of the article. _______________________________________________ Logica-l mailing list [email protected] http://www.dimap.ufrn.br/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/logica-l
