Editors, João Daniel Dantas, UFRN Patrick Terrematte, UFRN Sanderson Molick, UFRN ~*~ SABERES – Special Issue Φιλoμενα II Editorial Introduction Founded in 2008, SABERES: Interdisciplinary Journal of Philosophy and Education (ISSN 1984-3879) is a publication of continuous flow holding qualification B4 by CAPES, open to researchers working on the fields of Philosophy and Education. The publication is a space for science communication defending the principles of plurality and interdisciplinarity across different areas of knowledge and knowledge production. Currently linked to the research group Foundations of Education and Cultural Practices, and in collaboration with the research groups of Ethics and Political Philosophy and Logic, Knowledge and Ethics/UFRN. SABERES’s goal is to bring together senior and undergraduate researchers in Brazil and abroad in an editorial line that seeks for works on Philosophy, Philosophy of Education and Philosophy Teaching without any prior restriction to theme or approach. The second edition of FILOMENA, held at UFRN in September 2015, counted with 22 contributed talks. Different topics of the philosophy of logic were discussed and explored within the Workshop. The following edition gathers some of the works presented at the workshop. It has eight papers discussing different topics from philosophy of mind to modal logics and paraconsistent logics. The Φιλoμενα Workshop (Philosophy, Logic and Metaphysics), promoted by the Group on Logic and Formal Philosophy from the UFRN, has the purpose of gathering logicians working at the intersection of Logic and Metaphysics, through the application of formal methods in Philosophy. Logic, while initially considered as a branch of Philosophy, has outgrown its original purposes and found connections with other areas of Philosophy, such as Philosophy of Language, Philosophy of Mathematics, Philosophy of Science and Philosophy of Mind. Since its modern development, Logic has proved to be a powerful tool for analyzing different philosophical theories, as well as their foundations and implications; moreover, the birth and development of non-classical logics has expanded its domain of application much beyond the dreams of its progenitors.
