OK, but should it not have something to say that its km^2
rather than just km as its area? If so, than how would I say that?



Well, the source you quoted used [kurfa], roughly "square", but in my opinion 
that is malglico. However I can't seem to find a word for "area", although 
there is one for "volume", [canlu]. Strange...
