does anyone have any thoughts about the "best" way to deal with
sensitive information like credit card numbers?
I am loath to store them plain-text and have been thinking of storing
them in a SQL database signed against a public key and keeping the
private key offline.
has anyone actually done this or similar or knows what the best
practise is with sensitive information like this?
