I found out not long ago that in India there is an artificial market in very high quality tea that works like the European/American market in very high quality wine. Rich people will pay thousands of pounds for small amounts of tea from particular Assam estates in the same way that some people will pay thousands of pounds for a particular bottle of wine. Funny old world. When I was in Japan I became very fond of the cold-green-tea-in-a-bottle stuff you get from vending machines. On reflection, however, it's icky. The cold-sweet-milky-coffee-in-a-tin stuff you get from vending machines is fantastic though.
