what does "blank screen" mean here ?

There is a new Debian lxde file by BJLX at
www.anheng.com.cn/loongson/install/
It's called "loongson2_debian7_lxde_20131120.tar.lzma

and apparently was uploaded in November 2013. I tried to install it
using the instructions listed here but after the install, attempting
to launch just brings up a blank screen (unlike debian 6 lxde which
works perfectly).
Anyone know how to install this new one?
