There is an organization called Waster Busters in Lahore that is worth catching up with. They are now expanding in Karachi. http://www.wastebusters.com.pk/
Then there is DEAL - a consultancy in Karachi. They also educate people on waste disposal practices. I recently took part in discussions about the environment in Karachi and esp Punjab University' Earth & Environment College. It seems that our people are yet to be aware of the basics of cleanliness and garbage management at the end of each household. In my house, we separate the garbage into organic and inorganic, and compost the first type. How about let's discuss here each family's garbage disposal practices? On this note, also check out this very active Pakistani Facebook group on all things climate & environment: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=20332628501&ref=ts Regards, _Ramla --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Loose Ends Pakistan" group.
