I am talking about everyone, but that masses who are destroying the religion. If we are not discovering anything atleast peace should prevail...but in that also we failed..
let me share the contribution of Muslims to the world... Islam gave a lot to the world in terms of Science, arts, medicine, and culture....The Prophet said:'seek knowledge from cradle to grave.' Consider the figures 1 to 9 we use in mathematics. This was given to the world by the Arabs, who copied the figures from India, and added zero. Before these figures came into use, Roman figures were in USE, X for 10, L for 50, C for 100, D for 500, and M for 1000. Think of writing 2222 in roman figures. It is not that easy. But the new figures passed on by the arabs made computing easy. MMDLXXV can now be easily written as 2575. This gift was passed on to the world by the arabs. Not only that but it was the Arab traders who taught the west how to keep proper accounts. The word "algebra" itself comes from the arabic AL Jabr. It was Mathematicians who learnt how to use decimals points. When Samarkand was taken by the Muslims they found in this city the art paper-making. There was a paper-making mill set up by the Chinese crafstman. In china this art had been long known. This impoertant discovery was spread by the muslims into other parts of the world. They founded the first papaer- making plant in baghdad. There was a Norman king. He was Roger of sicily. he wanted the best information about geography. he turned to the arab map maker al idrisi. Al idrisi made him a plan of the world. It was made of silver. He also drew some 75 diffferent maps and wrote geography boooks. long long ago there was apopular ointment sold in france. it was called blank de razes, after a very famous arab doctor Ar razi. This shows that hoe europeans trusted the knowledge of the muslim world. Muslim built handsome mosques, palaces, libraries, gardens of great beauty. The arabs produced many things. they passed on many different things to other countries. Sugar is one of them... have you ever seen a striped female cat? It is called tabby in english. You will be surprised to know that this word comes from attabi which means a striped cloth formerly made in baghdad.. besides mathematics, the muslims gave alot to the world in the field of medicine. Muslim doctors and medical experts thought deeply over the Quranic Command " O you who believe, eat the good things that We have provided you and be grateful to Allah if it is Him you worship" The prophet's saying there is no disease without a cure made the muslim doctors to think deeply about different illness. They learnt about the diseases by observation of the sick. By observation they made the difference between small pox and measles... In baghdad alone there were 60 hospitals..They had indoor and outdoor departments....Masuri hospital in cairo was built in 1282 AD had magnificient building...the doctors carried out operations. they worked out better ways to sew up the wounds. the surgery of th eye was highly developed. several books were written on medicine. these books were later on translated into latin and were studied in western europe. One of the most important of the great muslim cities was baghdad. by about 1000 AD and had a population of about 800 000 people. in general comforts and public services it was far advanced of its time. its main street was paved and regularly cleaned. after dusk they were lighted. the city enjoyed constant supply of fresh water. the city was furnished with schools and libraries. the learned men streamed to its "house of wisdom" (BAYTUL HIKMAH) everywhere.....one ruler in baghdad had built it in 830 AD...house of wisdom served as university and research center.....libraray of house of wisdom was the finest in the world...Its scientific laboratories were without an equal.... have you ever thought handwriting as an art like painting,,,,,the msulims considered the handwriting as the greatest of all arts...It is called caligraphy ..it was the art used to make copies of the Quran and writing its verses on the arches of the mosques, in colorful design....
