I'm still not confident aaf/ferret is starting properly. I think it is running as the other day I got an email with this error: druby://localhost:9010 - #<Errno::ECONNREFUSED: Connection refused - connect(2)> which brought down the whole website. Now it's running again, but I really am not sure of the best way to keep the drb server up and running.
I would love to know what others are using in config/environment.rb to start ferret, or if there is a god script (or shell script) that targets Passenger. The page referenced in the lovd README file talks about acts_as_ferret as a plugin not as a gem as it is in lovdbyless. Anyway, thanks for your help.
