Well, a problem i see here is that if i'm the admin, not only do i have a very long list of friends (bad thing!) but also I get even more update information, so that all that I want to know about my real friends status will be "gone". Imagine if my app has over 10.000 users, I mean I certainly not their friend in the good old sense.
