Thanks for the reply Steven! I thought I removed all the other Rails gems, but it did not clean up all the active… stuff. I have since cleaned our those gems and still get that weird syntax error.
I am considering starting a new gemset and giving it another try. I noticed that when I started with the rake lovdbyless:getting_started it would complain about missing gems, so I installed the ones it complained about. That is how I ended up with such an extensive list below. Your README does not mention all these other gems, so it left me wondering if something went wrong. You only mention a handful of gems in the README. If I were to scrap this gem set what RoR combination should get lovdbyless to run? Should I use the 2.3.5 branch? Thanks, Nung Here is the current gem set: actionmailer (2.3.5) actionpack (2.3.5) activemodel (3.2.6) activerecord (2.3.5) activeresource (2.3.5) activesupport (2.3.5) arel (3.0.2) builder (3.0.0) bundler (0.9.9) coffee-rails (3.2.2) coffee-script (2.2.0) coffee-script-source (1.3.3) erubis (2.7.0) execjs (1.4.0) hike (1.2.1) i18n (0.6.0) journey (1.0.4) jquery-rails (2.0.2) json (1.7.3) mail (2.4.4) mime-types (1.19) multi_json (1.3.6) mysql (2.8.1) polyglot (0.3.3) rack (1.4.1, 1.0.1) rack-cache (1.2) rack-ssl (1.3.2) rack-test (0.6.1) rails (2.3.5) rake (0.9.2.2) rdoc (3.12) RedCloth (4.2.9) rflickr (2006.02.01) rmagick (2.13.1) rubygems-bundler (1.0.3) rvm (1.11.3.5) sass (3.1.20) sass-rails (3.2.5) sprockets (2.1.3) sqlite3 (1.3.6) thor (0.15.4) tilt (1.3.3) treetop (1.4.10) tzinfo (0.3.33) uglifier (1.2.6) On Jul 24, 2012, at 8:06 AM, Steven Bristol wrote: > On Mon, Jul 23, 2012 at 1:19 PM, Nung Bedell <[email protected]> wrote: >> I found this project and am somewhat determined to get this to work on my >> Mac running Lion. >> I've installed RVM and am targeting Ruby 1.8.7 and Rails 2 since other >> attempts to get it to work have also failed.
