I'm not familiar with the game, but I suspect it is an older title.
What is probably happening is that the PPC mac is having to do a lot
of work in emulation mode in order to run the older software. Your
68k Mac is the platform the game was written for, I'm guessing,
therefore it is running more efficiently.
Not a very "techy" answer, but I think you get the gist of it.
Anyone with a more technical background please feel free to correct
or clarify any aspect of this response.
